If you read the plaque in the next picture, you will see that this F-100 was Thunderbird #6 for most of the sixties.  During that time, I was a little kid and my father was stationed at Dyess A.F.B. in Abilene TX.  I remember seeing the Thunderbirds there.  So I thought it was neat that I had, most likely, seen this very aircraft perform.  I just had to get my picture standing next to it.  There is another neat family story for me associated with this aircraft.  See the last picture in this series for details.
