This organ contains the extra large scale Philharmonic reeds. Notice the very wide key cheeks; the reeds are so wide that they extend far beyond both ends of the keyboard requiring a "spreading" device to activate the valves, unlike most reed organs where the reed cell is directly below and in line with its corresponding key.
