Le Ludion is a unique atelier run by Eve Chaillat and Philippe Crasse in Toulouse, France. Beginning with collecting and restoration work, they soon began making their own mechanical organs both large and small. They are book-operated instruments based on the turn-of-the-century French Limonaire and Tibouville models. The smaller organs (like this one at Outback) are designed for vocal accompaniment in the French organ grinder tradition. Their unique musical arrangements make full use of the limited musical range of a portable organ.
