Over the years we have acquired a number of music boxes for our personal collection. We have these on display here in our "parlor". We have decided to show you pictures of some of these rather than keeping them hidden. We hope you find these items interesting.

While decorating our shop we just couldn't afford the expense of using antique lighting exclusively. We instead became affiliated with some of the better distributors of quality reproduction lighting.

Gone With The Wind Lamp Service
With the closing of the Musical Museum the Lamplighter Shop where we had many shades painted for Gone With The Wind lamps also closed. We have become affiliated with an artist with many years experience in duplicating shades for GWTW lamp bases. If you have a GWTW base and are missing the shade, send us a picture for a quote for a replicated shade.
Any other missing lamp parts are also available. Do you have parts that need replating? Brass, bronze or nickle, we can have it done for you.

| Piano "spool box" lamps are available in almost any color imaginable. The carmel slag glass in this picture has suffered from the camera flash. |
|
Post lamps are available for your nickleodeon. These lamps were created after the design found on Electrova nickelodeons but as you can see will work fine on any machine that might have the originals missing. Please write for cost and availability. See an example on our Capital piano.

When one becomes "infected" with this hobby, they find a world of exciting music machines that seem almost beyond belief. As much of a unique discovery as the machines are, so too are the great people associated with them.
We would like to say Thank You to some of them here, in Out-Backs Automatic Music Hall Of Fame. Without their help and encouragement, we would not be here today!
Visit the Automatic Music Hall of Fame at Mechanical Music Digest
While this is our personal Hall Of Fame, an international Hall Of Fame is being constructed that will cover, makers, inventors, early collectors, researchers etc. When it is completed, you may link from here.

The Musical Museum of Deansboro 1948 to 1998 September of 1998 marked the end of an era, the end of the Musical Museum of Deansboro, New York. Started by the Sanders family the Musical Museum was open to the public for almost 50 years inviting everyone to come and play music boxes, reed organs, nickelodeons, and violin machines. We wish to thank the Sanders family for all their efforts and all they gave to so many. The Musical Museum will surely be missed. Expanded writeup in the Mechanical Music Digest's Hall of Fame. |
