About Us:

·         Open Arms MCC provides:

            1.      A celebratory worship that is open, affirming, joyful, symbolic, and Christian

2.      A variety of learning opportunities

3.      Social activities to build relationships

4.      A variety of opportunities for spiritual growth

5.      Opportunities for healing, nurturing, and affirmation of individuals

 

·         For:

People who are looking to renew their faith and affirm their sexuality, knowing it is good to be Christian and gay

 

·         By:

1.      Recognize the talents and contributions of the congregation

2.      Making positive steps as we go

3.      Provide training and financial support

4.      Defining, planning, implementing, evaluating and celebrating

5.      Reaching in to our members and reaching out to the community

 

Service Times:

     Sundays 11 a.m.

 

Fellowship Opportunities

     After each service there is a fellowship hour with refreshments, and a chance to meet and chat with the pastor and the other people who are attending worship.

Mission Statement

     Open Arms MCC is a member congregation of the worldwide movement known as Metropolitan Community Churches.  Our primary ministry is to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people.  We are a joyful, growing group of Christians who come from many different faith traditions.   Our worship blends music, scripture, preaching and communion.  We celebrate communion weekly because it is our most powerful symbol of inclusion.  Be assured of a warm welcome.
