G-Scale Battery Operations.

Tired of cleaning track? Tired of jerky running. Afraid of wet weather running?
If you answer yes to any or all of the above questions, you're ready for battery operation. We can provide services that will allow you to simply run a single engine, to running multiple engines with fully realistic sounds.

1. We can install, in most G-Scale locos, a completely self-contained battery operated system. This would mean direction, speed, and lighting if wanted.
2. In a lot of G-Scale locomotives, we can offer #1 above, as well as a sound system that will harken back to the days of your youth, steam or diesel. There may be space limitations with this type of installation, and we would tell you that before we start the project.
3. For those of you that want to run small engines under battery power, we offer trailing cars for that purpose.
4. For those of you that have several engines and can't afford to put controllers in each unit, we offer trailing cars with just battery, or, for the ultimate, trailing cars with battery and sound. By using the RCS system and Phoenix Sound Systems, you can have a trailing car that can be used behind virtually any G-Scale engine made. All you need to do, once the installation is complete, is get the Phoenix Computer interface system to change the sounds that you want. You could also bring it here and we'll do it for you for nothing, including providing the necessary config file to make installation of new sounds a piece of cake. Dallee sound systems can also be used in the trailing car, but their units are only for a specific engine (yes, they are less expensive), so, if you're only running one type of engine, that might be the way to go.
5. It may be necessary to modify any locomotives that you want to use, as track power CANNOT be used with battery power. Once you try battery power, you'll never go back to track power. After we complete our work, you will be able to take your locos to other layouts, even if they're DC or DCC and run yours without interfering with anybody else.
