Words From The Wise

By allowing access, I hope to show people that we are not the only inhabitants here, but we are the inhabitants forcing our needs, wants, beliefs, and ideas, real or imagined, on all the delicately balanced ecosystems around us. There are many goals of the Nettle Creek Wildlife Project, such as, the cataloging of plants, animals, insects, and reptiles, birds and amphibians. The propagation of any threatened, endangered, or extirpated plant species, also to increase the diversity of all life here.

Other goals include:

  • Access to college students, for field experience. This would include anything from archeological to zoology.

  • Guided field trips for school classes, scout troops, and 4-H groups.

  • Access for science clubs and bird watching clubs.

  • Nature Videos, both local and regional.

  • Websites with live web cams on bird and deer feeders, and other wildlife.
