Annual Meeting, with Potluck Luncheon and  Educational Program

West Sparta’s Role in the Civil War” presented by

David Palmer, Historian. Community invited.

 

May 12, 2009, Tuesday, 7 p.m. West Sparta Methodist Church

The West Sparta Historical Society presents the “The

Flora and Fauna of West Sparta”. Hear and see how

the prevailing plants, trees, and animals have changed in the

decades since West Sparta was first inhabited.

Presented by John Adamski, a resident of the

Town of North Dansville, and a wildlife writer and photographer.

He is currently leading an effort to create the Fingerlakes

Cultural and Natural History Museum.

HISTORY DAY IN WEST SPARTA

A full day of educational programs, musical

Entertainment, 140th Regiment Civil War Living

History encampment,  food, vendors, museum

tours and displays, children’s Story teller.

Programs and entertainment free. Accessible,

Reprise of the popular White Family Singers

Sing a Long. Refreshments.   

 

Activities such as committee and working meetings

for members will be advertised in advance. The Board of Trustees

meets six times per year at 8253 Green Road, West Sparta.
