Designed and developed a new database program that would meet the differing Military Specification requirements, for each contract.

A dBase 3+/Clipper program was created (PROVM), and then used in conjunction with several MS-COBOL program modules, on a single-station AT-386 to generate the desired output.

Performed duties as Database Manager of an INGRES database on a DEC-VAX 11/785.

Was responsible to over-see the training and input/output of several data entry clerks in the areas of Logistics, Engineering, Configuration Management and Provisioning.

Attended a 2 week seminar for the implementation of the WDS MRP (Material Resource Planning) CompassCONTRACT, and was then responsible for in-house training.

·This task also involved identifying the data element requirements, working with computer support personnel to establish data migration, and maintaining the database.

In this position, coordinated the software planning and preparation to include data element definition, database development using an INGRES Relational Database on a VAX/VMS System, and created COBOL output programs to meet the specification requirements.

Then trained 2 data entry clerks on the methods and procedures for provisioning, and completed the provisioning requirements.

Wrote several "S-REPORT" programs to retrieve data in specific report formats for in-house equipment tracking.

Created two PPLs IAW the Air Force D220 System, on communications equipment manufactured at Bendix.

Completed a  PPL  for the KG-84A Transmitter-Encoder, for the National Security Agency.

This provisioning of approximately 1,950 Line Items was prepared IAW MIL-STD-1552A/1561A on a DEC-VAX 11/785 VMS System.

Required to maintain a Secret Clearance and a COMSEC Security Review Clearance, for this effort.

In addition, provisioned the APX-100 Transmitter/Receiver on a contract from NAVALEX. This document consisted of four configurations of the equipment, with Usable-On-Codes to distinguish the basic differences.

Main responsibility as a consultant was to create these PPLs IAW the contract information and to ensure the accuracy of the final documents.

Logistics Representative

Management position in the Ground Launch Cruise Missile (GLCM) logistics section.

Basic responsibilities in implementing MIL-STD-1552 Provisioning Procedures to top-down breakdown of the Cruise Launcher, which was manufactured at Convair.

Trained and assisted three Supply Support Clerks, in both technical and data element requirements, and in actual on-line data entry.

The requirements of the Air Force D220 ADP system were combined with MIL-STD-1552/1561 criteria for this effort.

On-line  TSO  and IMS experience was with an IBM-370 COBOL System.

Data management files were updated on  TSO  Edit to maintain strict reliability for the Provisioning Parts List ( PPL ) build-up of some 9,500 items, to include Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).

Gained experience in reading both blueprints and electrical schematics, and developed an understanding of the Configuration Change process.

Assigned the task of creating an Air Force D220 ADP  PPL  from engineering drawings associated with the Cruise Missile. The final document consisted of all the mechanical and electronic systems for the Cruise Ground Launch configuration. Included were over 9,000 Line Items coded with all the necessary data elements to enable Spares Procurement.

Data gathering position in the Systems Management Group.

Responsible for the preparation of Supplementary Provisioning Technical Documentation (SPTD) IAW MIL-STD-1552 and the pertinent Provisioning Requirements Statement.

Contracts supported with SPTD to the various Armed Services included manufacturers of electronic equipment such as Digital Equipment Corporation, Teledyne Systems Company, Pulse Inc., and Bow Industries.

Supported a contract for the modernization of a 100-ton Crane Barge for the U.S. Army.

Capabilities in this position included data research, both commercial and MIL-STD technical support acquisition, and Provisioning to MIL- STD -1552/1561.

Completed an Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) for the Air Force, which was prepared IAW MIL-P-38807.

Gained six months informal training in ADP procedures and am experienced in the implementation of Provisioning Data to IBM-370 COBOL System. Attended classes on Job Control Language, TSO, and BASIC to introductory COBOL.

Input experience was with a Documentation Card Reader, in the form of EAM data cards, and with a VT-100-XH (DEC) Terminal.

Worked directly with MIL-Spec procedures in PPL preparation to include recommended spares for the Simulator.

Was assigned as Group Lead on preparation of Item Selection Transcripts ( ASO -4423-70) for the Aviation Supply Office.

This was a technical position which included DLSC ( Defense  Logistic  Support  Center ) Screen Analysis; Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability determination; and Cataloging to top-down breakdown equipment utilized in the Simulator.

In this position, trained 4 Provisioning Clerks on the  ASO  transcript procedures.

Coordinated our Logistics Department with commercial vendors for spares purchasing and pricing.

Utilized and became familiar with both manufacturing and non-manufacturing drawings, Federal Supply Classes, and Maintenance Plans.
