2006 Week 9

The Clippers won their fourth consecutive match with a 2-1 victory over the Buds.  The Angry Dogz swept the Knights to really tighten up the playoff race in the Parnell Division.  The Hooligans dropped their fourth straight match.  The Outlaws shot their way back to the top of the Bartalo Division with a sweep of the Wolves.

2006 Week 8

The Clippers won their third straight match and in the process ended the Hooters ten match winning streak.  The dehydrated Wolves were swept by the Junkers.  Don't worry Wolves, you'll be closer to the beer with as your next match is in Area 1. The Knights have now won only 1 game per match for 10 consecutive weeks.  The Hooligans continue their swoon dropping their third straight match.

2005 Weeks 6-7

"It's June? Time to swoon again.", cried the Hooligans  as they lost two straight matches.  The Clippers have sharpened there shears and run off two straight victories and are now only a game away from climbing out of the basement.  The Hooters continue to play well and have not lost a match this year.  The Buds finally woke up and won two consecutive weeks to climb back into the playoff hunt.

2005 Weeks 3 -5

A bunch of matches were played.  The only real highlights were the Junkers 2-1 victory over the Buds.  The Junkers played with just three men.  A Clippers loss against the Hooligans tonight will give them the league record for most consecutive losses at 19.  The Outlaws dropped their second match in a row to fall out of first place in the Bartalo Divsion.

2005 Week 2

The Wolves managed to drown out the slamming door of the Port-A-Potty and got the only sweep in the league so far over the Junkers.  The Wildcats clawed their way past the Knights for a 2-1 victory.  The Buds defeated the Clippers 2-1.  The loss was the Clippers fifteenth straight regular season loss.

2005 Week 1

The brooms were put away on opening night as no team swept another.  The Buds, Hooligans, Outlaws, Hooters and Angry Dogz started the season on a winning note with 2-1 victories over their opponents.  Last year's champions, the Buds, were sporting new team shirts and monogrammed towels.  They have definitely raised the bar a little higher in the uniform department.

2004 - Championship

Congratulations to the Buds who defeated the Outlaws 2-0 for their second LKBL Championship.  The Buds last title was in 1998 when they also defeated the Outlaws.  Congratulations to the Clippers who won the consolation 8 team tournament.  Guess it takes a little money on the line for the Clippers to win a game or two!

2004 - First Round Playoffs

The Buds defeated the Hooligans to advance to the Championship match.  Who knows what would have happened if different balls were used?  The Outlaws and Hooters faced off in a rematch of last year's first round playoff match.  The Outlaws got their revenge this year as they defeated the Hooters to advance.  The Outlaws are looking for their first league championship trophy, while the Buds will be seeking their second.  It is hoped that the team that wins will not mind receiving trophies with the names of the Wildcats scratched out.

2004 - Week 13

The Buds ended the Wildcats streak of not being shutout at 98 weeks and in the process knocked the Wildcats out of the playoffs.  The Hooligans sweep of the Junkers put them in the playoffs for the first time in the history of the team.  The Clippers finished the season by winning a game, but it wasn't enough to prevent them from having the worst record ever at 4-35.

2004 - Week 12

The Parnell Division playoff race is over.  The Hooters sweep of the Clippers gives them sole possession of the second playoff spot.  Even if the Knights or Angry Dogz manage to tie them in total wins next week, the Hooters win all the tiebreakers.  A late season swoon by the Wildcats leaves the Bartalo Division playoff race wide open. Did the Angry Dogz put an end to the "Year of the Hooligan" ?  Their sweep of the Hooligans certainly put a dark cloud over the Hooligans playoff hopes.  The Hooligans need to sweep the Junkers next week to guarantee a playoff berth.  If they just win two they will need some help.  The Junkers can make the playoffs with a sweep of the Hooligans (and some help), or a 2-1 victory (and some more help).  If the Wildcats win at least one game, they make the playoffs.  If the Buds sweep the Wildcats, they make the playoffs.  If they win just one or two games they can still make it with some help.  Terry Donegan should have all the information needed to end any confusion after the final match is over next week.

2004 - Week 11

The Hooters swept past the rusty Knights to take sole possession of second place in the Parnell Division.  The Outlaws sweep of the Buds clinches the Parnell Division first place spot at they are now 7 games ahead with 6 games to go.  The Hooligans sweep of the Clippers gives them sole possession of second in the Bartalo Divsion.  The Junkers 2-1 victory over the Wildcats keeps them in the playoff hunt.  The Wolves have quietly crept back into the playoff hunt with a 2-1 victory over the Angry Dogz.  The Clippers need to win 3 of their next 6 games to avoid having the worst record in LKBL history (5-34).

2004 - Week 10

Is this the year of the Hooligan after all??? The Hooligans beat the Wildcats 2-1 for the second time this year.  They are the only team to beat the 'Cats this year. The Hooligans' joy may be short lived however as they currently remain out of the playoff picture.  With three weeks to go all the teams in the league are still alive in the playoff race except for the Clippers who were swept for the fourth straight week.

Week 11 Spotlight Match: Hooters vs. Knights.  A win by the Knights will all but eliminate the Hooters from the playoff picture.  A Knights victory would put them one step closer to their first post season appearance.

2004 - Week 9

The Wildcats sweep of the Clippers mathematically eliminated the Clippers from a chance at the playoffs.  The Buds 2-1 victory over the Junkers keeps them in sole possession of the second playoff spot in the Bartolo Division.  The Knights gained on the Parnell Divsion leading Outlaws by defeating them 2-1.  The Hooters stayed in the playoff hunt with a 2-1 victory over the Angry Dogz.

2004 - Week 8

The Outlaws 2-1 victory over the Wolves was their sixth consecutive match win and it keeps them atop the Parnell Divsion.  The Wildcats 2-1 victory over the Hooters gives them a 17-7 record, tied with the Outlaws for best record overall.  The Junkers climbed back into the playoff hunt with a sweep of the Clippers.  League officials are reviewing the tape of Junker Mike Stephany kicking Clipper Tom McQuaig in the balls.  Disciplinary action is expected.  The Knights 2-1 victory over the Angry Dogz gives them sole possession of second place in the Parnell Divsion.  The Hooligans dropped their second straight match with a 2-1 loss to the Buds.

2004 - Week 7

LKBL Hall of Famer Bill Curts returned as a sub for the Outlaws.  Bill had no mercy on his old arch rivals the Clippers as he led the Outlaws to a sweep. As we pass the half way point of the season, the playoff picture in both divisions is still wide open.  Fans of the LKBL can expect some heated competition in the next few weeks. All eyes will be on next week's match between the Buds and Hooligans as they battle for playoff position in the Bartalo Divsion.

Rumors has it.... Tempers are flaring in the Hooligans camp.

2004 - Week 6

The Wildcats gained sole possession of first place in the Bartalo Division with a sweep of the Buds.  The Hooligans 2-1 victory over the Junkers moved them into second place.  The Outlaws sweep of the REALLY Angry Dogz keeps them atop the Parnell Divsion.  The Knights won for a franchise record tying third straight week 2-1 over the Clippers.  The Knights will have a tough challenge extending that streak as they face the Wildcats next week.

Rumor has it.... The contenders for the LKBL Ultimate Fighter contest may have been finalized.  Look for a 'bare-knuckle brawl' between Tom 'Wad' Hodge and Chris 'Scratchy' Ennis during the bye week this season.

2004 - Week 5

The LKBL put the brooms away as there were no sweeps this week. The Buds and Outlaws remained atop their divisions with 2-1 wins over their opponents.  The Clippers have not won a match this year as they fell to the Hooligans 2-1.  The surprising Knights crept into a share of second place in the Parnell division with a 2-1 win over the Wolves.  The Wildcats rebounded from their loss last week to beat the Junkers 2-1.

NOTE: Wildcat Leadoff Mike Keenan wishes to apologize for his shenanigans last week.  He wasn't sure how to make it up to Bob.  Mike - maybe you can be high bidder on the following item and present it to Bob at a future date: ebay listing.

2004 - Week 4

The Buds continue to burn their opponents with a sweep of the Clippers.  The Junkers rebounded from last week's sweep to beat the Hooters 2-1.  The Outlaws sweep of the Wolves puts them on top of the Parnell Division with a 7-5 record.  The Knights were victorious over the Angry Dogz who are still looking to put some teeth in their bite. Oh yeah, the Hooligans beat the Wildcats 2-1 to end the 'Cats 11 game regular season match win streak.  The Hooligans had a chance to end the 'Cats 89 week streak of not being shutout, but they choked and the 'Cats battled back from a 9-2 score to win the final game 21-14.

2004 - Week 3

The Wildcats got their first sweep of the year over the still rusty Clippers. The victory extends the Wildcats streak to 89 weeks without being shutout. The Buds swept the Junkers for a share of second place in the Bartalo Division.  The Hooters won their first match of the year 2-1 over the Knights.  Chris O'Dell wandered in to the Iroquois at the wrong time and ended up helping the Outlaws win their first match of the year 2-1 over the Hooligans.  Tony Coppini helped lead the Angry Dogz to a 2-1 victory over the Wolves and a perch atop the Parnell Division.  Fans can purchase autographed  2004 Wildcat team photos before any match for the remainder of the season.

2004 - Week 2

The Angry Dogz took a bite out of the Hooters with a 2-1 victory.  The Hooligans weren't distracted by the constant heckling from Rick Hoag's cockatiel as the beat the Buds 2-1.  The Junkers sweep of the Clippers gave them a share of the Bartalo Division lead.  Despite losing 2-1 to the Wildcats, the Wolves remain atop the Parnell Division.  They share the division lead with the Angry Dogz. Ken Moyer's surgically repaired shoulder led the Knights to a 2-1 victory over the Outlaws.

Reminder - the Wildcats autograph session starts at 6:00 pm next week.  Please remember only one item per person can be autographed.

2004 - Week 1

Opening day of the 2004 LKBL season saw the return of the usual cast of characters plus a *blast* from the past, "Dynamite" Dan Brunette.   The Wildcats taught Dynamite's Angry Dogz a few tricks and won their match 2-1.  The Buds new uniforms were the buzz of the league.  After staring at them the Hooters were unable to focus on their match, losing 2-1.  The Wolves got off to their usual hot start with a 2-1 win over the Clippers.  The Junkers ended their worst ever 5 match losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the Outlaws.  The Knights failed to take a point from the Hooligans whose sweep of the Knights ended their 12 week run without a shutout.
