Lectures and Seminars (2011/2012)...The following are lectures and seminars being offered at the Morgan-Manning House except as noted. Talks present a variety of historical, artistic and social perspectives related to the Brockport area. All programs begin at 7:30 PM Oct. 6, 2011 "Highlights of Civil War Brockport" - Dr. William Andrews A report on some of the highlights of Brockport's very interesting involvement in the American Civil War. Nov. 3, 2011 "Documenting the Past: The Easter Island Project" - Peter Randazzo Peter will show slides of Easter Island (Rapa Nui) and describe his experiences working with an archaeologist doing research there. Jan. 12, 2012 "The Anatomy of a Barn" - Scott Galliford Scott will describe how 19th century barns were built. Mar. 8, 2012 "Ghost Town in North Hamlin" - Ed Evans Ed will report on the CCC camp in Hamlin that later became a German POW camp and he will give a progress report on a history trail that is in the making. Apr. 11, 2012 "Susan B. Anthony and 2020 Vision" - Deborah L. Hughes, Director, Susan B. Anthony House Looking ahead to the 100th anniversary of woman suffrage and Susan B. Anthony's 200th birthday in 2020.
