The following are lectures and seminars being offered at the Morgan-Manning House except as noted. Talks present a variety of historical, artistic and social perspectives related to the Brockport area.

All programs begin at 7:30 PM

Oct. 4, 2012    "The 1942 Doolittle Raid on Tokyo" - John (Jack) Kowiak

2012 marks the 70th anniversary of the raid and this presentation recreates the story of the event using lecture, video clips, animation and photos.

Nov. 1, 2012     "Beyond the Fence" - Dennis Money

Dennis will talk about the world's largest herd of white deer and the unique military history of the former Seneca Depot.

Jan. 10, 2013     "Bread Time Stories" - Chet Fery

Better known as the Bread Man, Chet will discuss bread making and tell stories which will inspire, instruct and motivate. Be sure to attend and receive your loaf of homemade bread.

Mar. 7, 2013     "The Music of Duke Ellington" - Peter Luce

Ellington was a pianist, composer, arranger and band leader and this presentation will describe and illustrate, with recorded examples, each of these attributes of this remarkable musician.

Apr. 11, 2013     "The History of Slavery in America" - Neil Frankel

This presentation will trace the 400 year history of the Atlantic slave trade which began in 1444.
