On the Twelfth Night of Christmas the Ice Bats lost out 5 to 1 the Knight Caps.

General Manager quickly put into practice his promise "There'll be no passengers this season!" David "Da Crusher" Antila was promoted to a full time shift from his Ice Bats role last season of team heckler.

The Ice Bats fielded a shorthanded crew intensified by fact of Brainerd Bud Baakkonen not used to urban traffic arriving shortly before the halfway mark.

The Knight Caps controlled the ball most of the evening and scored in close and the perimeter including a spectacular shot that banked off three players and into the net.

Tom Quirk scored the only Ice Bat goal assisted by Pete Overgaard. Paul Wolfram who styles himself as the "Le Petite Napoleon" or "Little Napoleon" of broomball was shutout on the scoreboard.

The incapacitated Mike Shepard has signed on to be this year's Ice Bat photographic intern.
