The Ice Bats came back
from a 1-0 deficit to defeat the pack from Cedar Inn 5-2.

Goals for the Bats were scored by Duane "Killer" Koshiol, Pete "Underpass"
Overgaard (2), Mike "Physter" Fay, and Jerry "Sure Hands"
    Shurhamer.

After being down by a goal in the early going, the Bats did not lose any faith
that they could overcome the deficit. Defensive coach Dave "Regular Guy"
Antila said, "A good offense starts with a good defense, so we'll have
to make something up to score some goals". Indeed they did make up some
    ground.

The first goal came on
a bat rush with Paul E. Dangerously bringing the ball up the ice and leading
    to Fay for Koshiol's goal.

Dangerously also assisted on Overgaard's two goals during the same shift.
Overgaard is reportedly asking for a contract extension, even though he is
already signed up for the next two years.

Fay and Shurhamer scored the last two Bat goals, with an assist by Thom "loose
    cannon" Hokanson.

Lone fan Dick Williams commented, "I've never seen anything like it in
my life, of course I had never seen a broomball game." when asked about
the play of the Bats after the game, "they really out-hustled the Cedar
Inn team and still manage to show up on time for their regular jobs, well
    except for Bud, of course."

 GM Jim Lemire is seeking
disciplinary action regarding Bud Bakkonnen's late half-time appearance.

Bakkonnen had thought that the team was to meet at Adrian's at 7:00, not at
    the ice rink.
