Tex was born in Atlantic City, NJ and graduated with a Bachelor of Administration Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

After his tour of duty in the US Air Force ended he owned and operated a family Laundry & Dry Cleaning Service in St. Augustine, Florida.  After selling that business he moved to West Palm Beach where he was co-owner of a Pharmacy in Palm Beach for 12 years.  During that time Tex also served in various capacities in his local church, First Baptist Church West Palm Beach.  In 1977 Tex joined the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association 1977 where he served for 28 years in many different jobs including Crusade Director, Administrative Director of NACIE, and finally Interim Vice President of Crusades before retiring in 2005.

Tex was ordained as a Deacon in First Baptist Church, West Palm Beach, Florida in 1968 as well as being Ordained to the Gospel Ministry by First Baptist Church, Charlotte, NC in 2005 by the Senior Pastor Dr. Charles Page.
Tex came out of retirement in 2006 to work with Ruth Graham as Executive Director of Ruth Graham & Friends in order to further her vision of ministry to the church.

Tex is currently married and lives in Hugo, Minnesota.  He has 5 children, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
