Dr. Jimmy Ray Lee – Turning Point Ministries/Living Free

Dr. Jimmy Ray Lee is the founder and President of Turning Point Ministries, Inc (aka Living Free).  He is the author of “Understanding the Times” and several small group Bible studies (most recently “Free to Grow”) published by Turning Point.  Under his direction and guidance, Turning Point produced Living Free –a high impact video based training.  This video training assists churches in developing Christ centered small groups that help people turn to God and His resources when dealing with life’s problems.  He is also the author of “Behind our Sunday Smiles” and “Committed Couples”, published by Baker Book House.

Dr. Lee is the founder and honorary Chairman of Project 714 (now known as National Center for Youth Issues), a chemical prevention/intervention program for schools.  He also founded an inner city ministry called Ark Ministries that reached 600-700 young people weekly.  He started Chattanooga Teen Challenge, served as president for three years, and as Nashville Teen Challenge Executive Director during its formative years.

Dr. Lee earned a Master of Divinity Degree and Doctor of Ministry Degree from Luther Rice Seminary.  He is the recipient of the Highland Sertoma Clubs Service to Mankind award.  And, he serves on the Boards of National Center for Youth Issues, Teen Challenge of the Mid-South, The transformation Project and house of Grace, and Ruth Graham & Friends.
