Two of Greg's Brittanys.

The Brittany is originally from France (named for the province of Brittany) but is a very old breed that dates back to early Spanish spaniels. It is a versatile dog that can hunt under varying conditions. A trademark of the breed is pointing at game birds. This is a dog of medium build with a height of about 17 - 20 inches and weighing between 30 and 40 pounds. It has a coat that is typically white with orange or liver colored markings of varying patterns. The coat is also very thick and wavy. Brittanys also have the trademark expressive face of a bird dog.

Brittanys are very friendly dogs that get along well with people and other dogs. They are good hunting partners and companions because they are not shy or aggressive. They are happy, alert, and natural hunting dogs.
