This web page is dedicated to all fellow Middies of the Class of 69. It is sponsored by the Reunion Committee. We thank those Middies who have sent words of support ... and words of correction too. Hearing from you is the best part of working on the committee!
We've posted some of your doings and current pictures in the Class Today page - we sure have changed since we received our diplomas at Wilson Field and scattered to the four corners of the Earth. We appreciate any updates and corrections. Please send them to the Reunion Committee.
Please let Middies you are in touch with know about this site. Over the years people move or change email providers, making it difficult to let them know of reunions and other class doings. Keep us in mind when you move; please send us a note when you get settled in your new home. We have also received a lot of returned email because of filtering software. Please add "mhsclassof69@hvc.rr.com" to your email address book.
The 40th Reunion Was A Success!
On Friday, August 7, and Saturday, August 8, spirited members of the Class of 69 got together to celebrate our graduation 40 years ago. Starting with the evening ice-breaker at Tony Boffa's Restaurant, where our classmate Donna Boffa-Mabee gave us a hearty welcome back to Middletown, and continuing the next afternoon with a clam bake at the Shawangunk Fish and Game Club in Washington Heights, it was a non-stop time of good cheer with friends we've known for years but haven't seen for too long a time. For those of you who couldn't attend, we're sorry to have missed you. Based on the comments from those who were there, we will do it again!
Pictures from the weekend are now available at the 2009 Reunion Page.
The Class Today
The members of the Class of '69 have always been active. Here are some highlights:
Bill Hogue is the Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. See what he's up to at Bill's bio page.
Paul Pollets has been living in Seattle for nearly 20 years, and owns a mechanical firm specializing in radiant heating, ventilation and specialty air filtration. Check out his web site at Advanced Radiant Technology.
Barbara Adams-Hebard had been among the Missing Middies almost since graduation, until she recently sent us an email. She is now the Conservator at the John J. Burns Library at Boston College, and loves living in Massachusetts. You can read more about her work at this BC Newsletter article.
Ralph Budd is a Medical Doctor and professor at the University of Vermont in Burlington. He is an authority of Lyme Disease. Check out his web page at Ralph's home page.
Diane Van Duzer-White and her husband Bill (MHS '68) live on a floating home in Alameda, California. Diane edits the organization's newsletter, Alameda Floating Homes. She sent some photos which are on the pictures page.
The late Bob Bright had been a runner since his cross country team days until the last few years. He helped organize the Orange Classic 10K, now known as The Classic 10K, which attracts world class distance runners to Middletown. This year's races were held on June 13th & 14th. Check out the Classic 10K website for more information on this and future runnings.
René Tetro has been a radio guy since junior high school. He's been a disk jockey and staff announcer, but mostly he's worked in broadcast engineering. He lives outside of Philadelphia, and has an online station with several streams at Radio Veronica.
We'd like to "show off" all the good things we do, and provide links to your web sites. Please send your information to the Reunion Committee.
Warm up for our 40th Reunion by reminiscing about the last one. It was an absolute blast to see so many familiar faces during Reunion weekend 2004, August 13th and 14th. It was heartwarming to see so many classmates attending their first reunion, and to see those who came despite the hurricane roaring across their homes in Florida. The years melted away as we renewed friendships, made new friends, shared pictures of family, danced the night away, and caught up on what we'd been doing since we last got together. We missed those who weren't there, and hope that we'll see you again at the next get together this August. Raffle prizes were won by Anna Rose (Napolitano) Hamilton's husband David, Lynn (Downing) Racine (who graciously donated it back to the class), and Andrea Blizard; the Saturday door prize was won by Ellen Myers.

This page has a comprehensive list of approximately 340 names of
persons who graduated with us or were in our class but left early for
various reasons and still think of MHS as their alma mater:
222 with good postal or email addresses
+ 91 with no current postal address or other contact
information; these are the names in bold
+ 26 "deceased members" of the class of 1969.
We thank our classmates who have let us know of their whereabouts and how we can get in touch with those among the missing.
Kathy (Mitteer) Clark has been maintaining the list of classmates and addresses for over 30 years. This list is used only for staying in touch about get togethers and will not be shared with third parties. We will not post your email or website address on this page unless you request it (in which case we'd be happy to include a link to you). If you are a member of the MHS Class of 1969 with a personal non-commercial web page we will be happy to include a link to your site; send us an email with your link.
We have listed women by maiden name (with married names in -italics). If you know of a classmate who is not listed, please let us know, and let him or her know about the class website. We need your help to locate missing Middies. We want to find MIA classmates and make this page more complete and accurate, so we can keep them up to date on class doings. Share with us E-mail and postal mailing addresses, telephone numbers, or other leads. Please send corrections or additions to MHS Class of 69.
