Mary Ann Amos brought us this quilt. In the light-colored squares, which contained embroidery of flowers, we stitched in the ditch around the square and then did some outline stitching around the embroidery using invisible thread. These squares were then surrounded by a wreath of leaves with a stylized flower in each corner. Next the sashing was filled with a leaf meander. A variety of flowers were stitched into each of the rectangular blocks, and finally, swags were stitched in the border.
