This quilt, with an oriental theme was pieced by Patti Robinson. Patti wanted the squares with floral prints to be quilted without distracting from the pictures. She also selected a border pattern from PerfectBorders.com. The remainder of the quilting between the blocks was to have an oriental feel. We chose to use a water theme, with a general flow from upper left to bottom right. At the crossing points, we introduced alternately a pond lilly motif and a crane motif. The photos below are taken from the back of the quilt to better show the stitching patterns.
