New Book for Mockingbird Enthusiasts

In this unique photographic tribute to one of the greatest novels of our time, readers will discover the world of Harper Lee and the inspiration for her story. Complied by the staff of the Monroe County Heritage Museums, Monroeville: The Search for Harper Lee's Maycomb is a valuable resource for those studying the book as well as a cherished treasure for it's millions of fans.


The Museum's first book about Monroeville was published by Arcadia Publishing in Charleston, SC. This book, written by Kathy McCoy, Monroe County Heritage Museums Director, is a pictorial history of our town which immortalizes the richness of Monroeville's history, politics, places, people and literary giants, including Harper Lee and Truman Capote.
