Festival with "A Christmas Memory" performance at 7 p.m. in
Old Courtroom
2nd Annual Fruitcake Festival:
Friday 8 am-10:30 pm. The day will begin with sales of homemade
fruitcakes by the ladies of Monroeville, packaged in specially made
Capote tins as well as local pecans. Monroeville also hosts
a local holiday market on the square with vendors bringing their wares
to the "Mockingbird Market" on Friday and Saturday.
The day concludes with a presentation
of "A Christmas Memory" at the Old Courthouse Museum at
7 pm by storyteller Dolores Hydock. Seating is limited.

presentation, we'll have a fabulous holiday fruitcake reception
and silent auction of fruitcakes, with a select number made by regional
chefs paired with rare editions of "A
Christmas Memory."
Tickets to the reading and party are

steamboat traffic on the
