5. Abraham Shiver

Abraham Shiver's Will in Pulaski County, Georgia was Probated 20 March 1844.

I ABRAHAM SHIVER being of advanced age, and knowing that I must shortly depart from this world, make my last will and testament. I commend my soul to God and my body to be buried in a Christian manner. Item All my debts are to be paid. Item. To my son BURUELL SHIVER, five dollars, in addition to what he has already received. Item. To ABRAHAM SHIVER, HETTY SHIVER, LEWIZER SHIVER, JEFFERSON SHIVER, and MENTRY SHIVER, the children of DANIEL SHIVER, deceased, five dollars, divided between them in addition to what they have already received. Item. To my grandson JACOB SHIVER, five dollars in addition to what he has already received. Item. To my son ELIJAH SHIVER, five dollars over and above what he has already received. Item. To my daughter MILLY, wife of GEORGE PAYNE, deceased, five dollars over and above what she has already received. Item. To my daughter CATHERINE SHIVER, all my furniture, except two beds, and one horse. Item. To my son JACOB SHIVER and my son JOHN SHIVER, one bed each above their share of the balance of my property. Item To my grandson WILLIAM JACKSON CHEARRY, one negro girl and a horse and saddle. Item. The balance of my estate of every kind is to be divided equally between my last named children, BONAPART SHIVER, ISAAC SHIVER, CANSADY NEWMAN, the wife of ARTHUR NEWMAN, JACOB SHIVER, GEORGE SHIVER and CATHERINE SHIVER. Item. My property is to be kept and managed until my debts are paid and then divided between the six children named above. Item. I appoint my son BONAPART SHIVER, my son-in-law ARTHUR NEWMAN and my friend JOHN J. ANDERSON as executors.

18. Catherine Shiver

There is a Catherine Shiver (1830--1927) buried at the Shiloh Cemetery in Frisco City, Escambia County Alabama. The dates suggest the possibility it is this Catherine. Altho it could be Catherine Cooper wife of Jacob Shiver III. Will need to research futher.
