Parish Picnic - The annual parish picnic was held on Sunday, August 13, 2000 at the Creekside lodge in Ellison Park. The Eucharist, meal and activities out in God's creation were enjoyed by all. Food, fellowship and fun were the order of the day.Additional pictures can be seen by clicking on the picture at right.

New Organ Moves to the New Sanctuary - Since arriving from Atlanta on January 10, 2000 the new to us organ had been in storage. On July 10, 2000 a group of parishioners and friends loaded up the organ and then delivered and unloaded it in our new Sanctuary. Additional pictures of the hard working crew can be seen by clicking here.
Saint Andrew's Chapel - resumed summer services in July and will continue through August. Late summer services have been a long standing tradition. Many people are involved in preparing the chapel for use each summer. It has a capacity of about 60 people and is in a wooded setting along the Lake Ontario shoreline. The chapel is over one hundred years old and takes many of the older members back to their youth when country churches were small and functional. Its peaceful setting is a provides a delightful worship experience. Click here for additional pictures.

News Flash!!! Hannah Dahn arrived at 1:09 AM on Monday, April 10, 2000. She weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches high. Mother and daughter are doing fine. Congratulations Mother Dahn!
Lenten Series 2000 - We were privileged to have Dr. Richard Henshaw, Professor of Old Testament at Bexley Hall Seminary, speak to us each Thursday evening during Lent this year. His topic was "Hard Words of the Prophets." This proved to be extremely interesting in examining what the prophets had to say to their generation and to explore how their words are interpreted by us today. Dr. Henshaw's gifts as a teacher and his delightful sense of humor brought new insight to us as we contemplate Holy Week and walking once more with Jesus to the cross and beyond. The prophets had very direct words to say to their generation about how the people were living and what should be changed. Interestingly, their words seem to resonate with us today as well.
Old Organ is Bound for a New Home - On January 19, 2000 our old tracker organ which had served us faithfully for several years was disassembled and taken away to its new home. The picture at the left will remind older parishioners of how the sanctuary looked before the purchase of the tracker organ. Sunday, January 16, 2000 was the last time the organ was used for services. Organist Karyn Pfluger gave it one last glorious workout playing "Canon in D" by Pachelbel as the prelude to the service, many hymns that demonstrated the best qualities of the organ and concluding with Widors "Toccata from Symphony No. 5" as the postlude. While the tracker organ will be missed, we look forward to hearing the first notes from the new, larger organ to be installed after the new sanctuary is completed.
New Organ Arrives - On January 10, 2000 the new to us organ purchased for the new sanctuary arrived in Webster from Atlanta. A number of parishioners helped to unload it and store it safely in a climate controlled warehouse until the new sanctuary is completed and the organ can be installed. Pictures of the hard working crew can be seen by clicking here.
