By Grace...Not Works

At this point we encounter a most curious fact-one that seems to run contrary to conventional wisdom. Paul wrote:

"Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:24).

"And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work"(Romans 11:6).

"Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone" (Romans 9:32)

Many people simply cannot believe that the correct way is the easiest and furthermore that it is free. Without a guide, many people take this wrong turn and try to pay for the eternal life they hope to receive.

Good deeds are recommended along the Romans Road, but they have no bearing on the final outcome of your journey.
