Is it enough to try to keep

the commandments?

No. “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all” (James 2:10). God sees all of our thoughts and actions and hears every word we speak. Examine your life while keeping this truth of God’s knowledge in mind. Can you identify any sinful words, thoughts, or actions? Jesus said, “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Luke 5:32). Some people are too proud to acknowledge their sinfulness and cannot see that they need Jesus Christ to be their Savior. Those who agree with the Bible and acknow-ledge their own sinfulness can receive the hope of salvation . . .
