Spiritual Death. To be spiritually dead means you do not know God and cannot communicate with Him or come into His presence. The person that is still separated from God after his or her physical death will be sent to hell forever. Revelation 20:15 says, “whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” According to God’s Word, sinners deserve to go to hell after they die. This awful and extreme punishment shows us how holy God is and how seriously He views the matter of sin.
