God cannot tolerate sin because of His holiness. He is completely
without any wrong. Many people think of sin as a type of crime–something
done against society. But sin is more than a crime; it is
a transgression against God. Because of sin, we are separated
from God and unable to enjoy fellowship with Him. “For
thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because
of our iniquities” (Isaiah 64: 7).
Even though you may be a very moral person, the Bible says
that you are still a sinner. “As it is written, there
is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10).
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of
God” (Romans 3:23).
