The
death of Jesus Christ provided a way for humans to have a
relationship with their Creator God. The Bible says, “And
this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true
God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John
17:3). Before Jesus Christ died He told a crowd of
people, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father but by me” (John 14:8).
Jesus Christ is God's gift of salvation to sinful human beings:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten
son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but
have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Jesus Christ’s blood paid for our sins. The Bible says,
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God
is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans
6:23). The Bible shows us what sin is and why it
is so serious.
