d. Armageddon Armageddon is the title given to the last great world war before the millennium. It will be the event that precipitates the coming of the Lord. It will take place in the valley of Megiddo where so many soldiers will die that the blood will run up to the horses bridles. Revelation 14:20; 16:1621; 19:1121; Isaiah 63:13 3. The Second Advent The actual second coming of Christ with power and great glory may well be the most spectacular event in all of history. He will come with a vast army of all His saints in all majesty and glory as King of kings and Lord of lords. He will destroy all His enemies with the word of His mouth in an instant of time. The King, at last, will sit on His earthly throne. The millennium This refers to the 1000 year period of time when Jesus will literally reign on a physical throne over His creation (Zech. 14:16-21; 1 Cor. 15:24-25; Rev. 20:1-10). It is also referred to as: The times of refreshing: Acts 3:19 The times of restitution of all things: Acts 3:21 The last time: 1 Peter 1:5 a. The Great White Throne Judgment This judgment applies to all men that have not appeared before the judgment seat of Christ. It will primarily be concerned with the judgment of the ungodly.
