May 2009 Meeting

We plan to meet on Tuesday May 12th at the home of Jon Freckleton at 6:30 pm.  This will be a picnic supper of hot dogs, beans & chips, etc.  Jon will have his climbing wall setup in the barn, so bring your shoes & harnesses.  Hope you have the evening free for some climbing fun.  Also, feel free to bring and share other munchy foods and or sodas or alcoholic beverages.  After the wall climbing, Adam Endres and his brother Dirk will share slides of their recent ice climbs.  They have pictures from the ADK including climbs around Poke-O Moonshine, Chapel Pond, North Face of Pitchoff, and Wallface.  Additionally, they have pictures from local climbs - such as Angel and Little Angel Falls.  Remember, this is our last gathering before the October meeting.  See you there.


Jon's home is at 1651 Harris Rd., Penfield, NY. Directions to his place:

If coming from the west side of Penfield, get on I-590 and exit east on Browncroft Blvd. (route 286). Jon's house is about 7 miles from I-590. Browncroft changes to Atlantic Av. where the road changes from four to two lanes. Continue until you get to the light at the intersection with route 250. Continue for about a mile until you get to Harris Rd. Turn left on Harris Rd., go a short distance, and pull into his driveways. It's best not to park in the street or on the neighbors' yards.
