Audio Broadcasts by Cornell Hockey's Opponents
LAST UPDATED: 11-4-06 Links may be invalid/broken/require a fee/etc. at the time the game in question airs. To avoid headaches, I suggest you independently verify the links in advance. If you find any errors, please email them to me at the address below, thanks. Information for internet video and internet audio offered by Cornell Athletics (both for a fee) is available at the bottom of this page. I am no longer
indicating whether streams are in Quicktime, RealAudio, or Windows
Media format since I suspect that most people have the capacity to
listen to all of those formats, making format information of little
value. (The old audio
links webpage for the '05-'06 season is available here.) -2006- -2007- Schedule information as reported
by USCHO.com on 10-23-06. Update: I have changed the Harvard at Lynah
start time to 8pm and the Wayne State games to Saturday and Sunday
(rather than Friday and Saturday), to conform to schedule information
reported on the Cornell Athletics website. NOTES: Colgate: In previous years Colgate has had free video on occasion. Video is now offered for a fee via All Access.Dartmouth: Regarding the direct links: "I find it works best if you copy and paste the link straight into WMP rather than just clicking on the link in your browser: http://nick8.surfernetwork.com/Media/Dartmouth-WFRD.asx or, if it's on the AM station, http://nick8.surfernetwork.com/Media/Dartmouth-WDCR.asx ." - Ben F., Dartmouth '04 (Ben, thanks for the assistance.) The free "experimental" video feed will not be offered this season (excerpt from Dartmouth Athletics' announcement: "After careful consideration of all the pros and cons, this season we are shifting the video webcasts of Dartmouth men's hockey games from the free experimental site to a paid subscription service."). Princeton: The page lists Men's Hockey as having free audio but there are not yet any links to streams on the page. Quinnipiac: Pop up blocking prevents the audio from playing (the site uses an embedded Windows Media Player). Robert Morris: Only has audio for home games. UNH: UNH's Athletics page lists WNTK 99.7 FM as a UNH Sports Network Station; the alternate link is to WNTK's site, which has a live stream. Union: Clicking on the link doesn't properly open a media player for me, but pasting "http://wruc.union.edu:1371" into the Open URL field in Windows Media Player works. Wayne State: Wayne State's Athletics page links to 1400 AM's website, which has a live stream on its site (to which the link points), but does not state whether hockey is carried on it. WMU: WMU's Athletics page says that audio is available by subscription from Yahoo, but it then lists WQXC 100.9 FM as a radio network affiliate of Bronco Hockey, which has a live stream on its site (to which the link points). It's not clear that the games will be available from this stream. Cornell Video and Audio: Cornell Athletics has partnered with CSTV's All Access to broadcast live internet video and audio of Cornell Hockey's games; this is a fee-based service.
