About the Peterson family:

· Dean A. Peterson
Dean runs the Peterson Jerseys farm in rural Viroqua, Wisconsin. In addition to managing the farm, Dean enjoys showing cattle at county, state, and national shows. Dean has been involved in 4-H, Junior Dairyman's and FFA in the past, and now he is involved with FFA Alumni. Dean has also earned his State Farmer Degree. When he is not busy farming, Dean enjoys playing softball, bowling and golfing.

· Pat Peterson
Pat is employed with the Vernon County Aging Unit based in Viroqua, Wisconsin. Pat helps out on the farm on a daily basis. Pat also judges clothing at area fairs, and enjoys quilting, sewing, reading and directing the church choir.

· Alana Peterson
Alana is the older of Dean and Pat's two daughters. Alana is currently attending UW River Falls. She is an avid member of the Mills North Springville 4-H Club, and her projects include sewing, dairy, and gardening. Alana is a member of the Vernon County Junior Jersey Breeders Association. Alana is also an avid softball player and golfer

· Jaclyn Peterson
Jaclyn is the younger of Dean and Pat's two daughters. She is currently attending Viroqua High School. She is an avid member of the Mills North Springville 4-H Club, and her projects include sewing, and dairy. Jaclyn is also a member of the Vernon County Junior Jersey Breeders Association. Jaclyn is an avid basketball, softball, and volleyball player. .

· Karla L. Peterson
Karla is employed with Associated Bank in Viroqua, Wisconsin, and she also owns and operates Karla's Photography. In addition to work, she is involved in a number of activities including organizing the Miss Viroqua program, the World Jersey Futurity, the Wisconsin Jersey Futurity, and working with Crime Stoppers. Karla was also very involved in 4-H, Junior Dairyman's, FFA and FFA Alumni; she has also earned her State Farmer Degree

· Brenda L. Peterson
Brenda is presently living in Madison, Wisconsin, and working as a corporate trainer. Brenda was an 11 year member of the Mills North Springville 4-H Club as well as a 4-H Key Award Winner. In addition to being a WIAA gymnastics judge, Brenda also enjoys spending time with her daughter, Wynn.

· Geraldine Peterson
Over the years, Gerry has served as a 4-H general leader, and a 4-H leader in projects like knitting, sewing, and cooking. Gerry was also a member of the Vernon County Fairboard for 20 years. Gerry has worked with the county and state Fairest of the Fair contests, been active in Homemakers, and has worked with a many of other community organizations. She is employed at Dahl Pharmacy in Viroqua
