RULES FOR TRADES:
- I trade only CD-Rs these days. I'm looking only for high quality, complete
shows which are from a digital (i.e. DAT) source. No analog generations, and
no shows created from MP3 or other "lossy" compressed files!! (Exceptions are
if DAT sources are unavailable, as with earlier shows, then cassette masters
from the soundboard are an acceptable source.)
- I'm looking for CD-Rs that are mastered with DAO (disc at once)-- not TAO
(track at once). TAO has the annoying two-second pauses between tracks. All
my Tradable shows are DAO.
- As of 4/2001, I am starting to collect and archive SHN files. These shows
are listed as "SHN & CD-R" as media type. I would prefer trading SHN
discs over audio discs!
- I copy my audio CD-Rs by way of a program called EAC (Exact Audio Copy).
You should, too. EAC will take longer, but it ensures an exact clone of the
disc. Other copy methods are prone to leaving pops, skips, and diginoise on
the "copy." For more information about this topic, see
http://www.du.edu/~beross/software.htm
- Please verify your Phish recordings match the setlists listed in The Helping
Phriendly Book. Any deviantions, please tell me before we trade. I have done
this with my list.
- I am an honest, reliable trader. I ask the same from you. Please keep the
good vibes flowing and don't rip me off.
- I am a relatively quick trader. All trades will be mailed out in a matter
of days-- never weeks and never (God, no) months. I ask the same from you.
- If known, please give me the source information for the recording I'm
getting from you!
- I will listen to the entire copy of the recording I make for you. This
will absolutely ensure that you are getting a faithful, true copy. I expect the
same from you.
- The key to good trading is communication. Please let me know exactly what
I am getting, and I will do the same for you.
- Please use adequate padding in your mailers so that nothing gets cracked
or damaged!
- Please use name-brand discs-- no generics!! Some acceptable brands are
Mitsui, Verbatim, Sony, TDK, Taiyo Yuden, Imation, and Kodak. I prefer
not to get Memorex or Maxell. Before trading, we should agree on
brand of CD-R to use.
- Please do not write on my disks!
