Magnetic Media/Chapter Three Withholding team: Group Special Act Award; Conversion of IBM 3084 COBOL applications to UNIVAC 1184 and 1182 COBOL applications; MASM magnetic media translation program; training others in using UNIVAC, CTS, Editor, IPF, COBOL and MASM; development of common Questionable W-4 program.
Disk management: UNIVAC file backup manager for two and a half years; eliminated 500+ pages/week of unnecessary printouts; wrote utility to display backup reel numbers by date and time; ran UNIVAC archival procedures and MCC program transmittals to the 10 service centers.
Systems software: Maintenance and Help Desk; GENSETUP utility for the submission of batch tape runs at the National Computer Center (now MCC); SYSGENs and installation of the EXEC 8 operating system; design and coding of the INTEGRITY utility for comparing symbolic, relocatable and absolute elements to detect any corruption or tampering.
Hardware conversion: On-site at Memphis in October 1984; liaison
in Martinsburg for all 10 Service Centers and the National Office.
