KWILL Norwegian Forest Cats
KWILL
is us - Katherine and Will. We live in Western New York State and occasionally
have Norwegian Forest Cats kittens (wegies)
available. Our cats and kittens are registered in the CFA, the Cat Fanciers Association. We are
members of the CFA Norwegian
Forest Cat Breed Council - NFCBC and are breeder members of the Norwegian
Forest Cat Fanciers Association ( NFCFA ). We enjoy participating in CFA shows where you
will often find us on the weekend with our fellow Forest Cat exhibitors.

We are often asked why we became
involved with Forest Cats; why this particular breed? There are a couple of
reasons. First, having descended from Norwegian immigrants (read about
Katherine's great grandfather, George Harbo), we were curious when first learning about this
breed in the early 1980's. It was the arrival of a stray cat on our doorstep
that inspired us to acquire a Forest Cat. "Miss Priss"
looked to us like a Norwegian Forest Cat and we eventually decided she should
have a like companion - this time with a pedigree. We are very grateful to
several breeders who have been very generous with their time and knowlege: Keith Kimberlin (Kitzn),
Jack and Penny Kopf (Penja), Carolyn and Bernie
Zeller (Freyzoo), Lynn Forlano
(Jotunheim), and Mary Mulrennan
(Irlu).

The
CFA Norwegian
Forest Cat Breed Profile and Breed
Article are excellent sources to learn more aboue
this breed. In addition, the CFA Norwegian
Forest Cat Breed Standard provides the particulars on cats being judged. We
are delighted to work with new exhibitors - feel free to inquire about cats or
kittens for show. On occasion we do have young adults or retired show cats
available. We also participate in Norwegian Forest Cat Rescue and can provide
information about available rescue cats. Call or email us for further
information.
