For years we've been wanting to take a trip to the far southeastern corners of the USA, and 2009 was the year we made it happen.

With stops along the way in 12 states we visited friends, family, Elvis, one big ol' battleship, more critters and birds than we could count (some of which tried to eat our car), and the Great Smoky Mountains.
