From our family to yours... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Our first project in the house was the building of the fireplace surround and mantel. My Dad and I built this over two weekends and learned the ins and outs of cutting compound miters on crown molding. The next phase will be staining and tiling the hearth.

Well, after a lengthy delay, we are finally in the house. We spent the weekend after Thanksgiving moving and this week turning our new house into a home. There are still a few minor things that need to be completed, but we're happy to be here, none the less. I'll try to post more pictures as we continue to put stuff away and decorate.
