worked with an individual who plugged their power strip back into
itself and for the life of them could not understand why their computer
would not turn on.

When
I was growing up, the name "Podunk" referred to a rural place
far removed from the conveniences of civilization. I thought "Podunk"
was a mythical, generic name for any place out in the "sticks".
I was wrong.
What sets
it apart from other map dots? Horton's previous name was actually Podunk!
Sheesh! I thought Podunk was a mythical place. Now I live there.
I hope you will take a moment to get aquainted with my favorite map dot.
It's a small, friendly place where neighbors still care for each other,
and in some ways, the best of historic rural culture still flourishes.
