BURIAL: She was cremated and her ashes scattered over Emma Lake 30 miles north of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada.

OBITUARY: The death of Catherine Roberta Horsley, age 92 years, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, occurred in Ennis, Texas, on Saturday, January 14, 1989. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 19th at 1:30 p.m. from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (436 Spadina Crescent) conducted by Rev. James McKay. -- Surviving are one son, John Angus (JoElla) Anderson of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Bryce (Sandra) Anderson of Ennis, Texas, Catherine Burns of Ennis, Texas, James E. (Donna) Anderson, of Dallas, Texas and Richard A. (Patti) Anderson of Houston, Texas; nine great-grandchildren' two great-great grandchildren; three stepsons, Tom Horsley of Victoria, B.C., John Horsley of Saskatoon, Sask., and Clyde Horsley of Prince Albert, Sask.; three step daughters, Esther Kernigan of Prince Albert, Sask., Mary Brown of Lacombe, Alta., and Earla Mills of Kelowna, B.C.; nephew, Angus Campbell of Saskatoon, Sask. and several other nieces and nephews in Canada and Scotland. She was predeceased by her first husband, Edwin T. Anderson in 1936, and by her second husbgand, Thomas Horsley in 1967. Mrs. Horsley was born on November 6th, 1896, in Edinburgh, Scotland. She received her education in Edinburgh, and during World War One, met and married Edwin T. Anderson in 1917. Together in 1919, they came to farm in the Kinistino district until 1929 when the Depression forced them to move to Prince Albert to make their home. Following the death of her first husband in 1936, she remained living in Prince Albert and in 1947, married Thomas Horsley. They remained living in Prince Albert until the early 1950's when they moved to make their home in Saskatoon. While living in Saskatoon, Mrs. Horsley was an active member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and Saskatoon Chapter No. 4, Order of the Eastern Star.She enjoyed reading, travel, playing bridge and the time spent walking. She always had a keen interest in her family and found great pleasure from their accomplishments. Mrs. Horsley was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Cremation will take place following the service. Funeral service arrangements have been entrusted to the Saskatoon Funeral Home.
