MADELINE!

February 17, 2007 -- 1 year old! Here's pics from her birthday party at her Grandma & Grandpa Roy's house.
~13 months old... Walking around real good at this point, doing a little thinking in her Blue's Clues thinking chair, and *really* enjoying some beef-a-roni!
Easter 2007! She can actually partake in the chocolate bunnies this year and she's pretty excited about it.
14 months old -- 04/22/07 -- It was a beautiful day today so Madeline spent quite a bit of time outside. Playing in the rocks and even took time out to wrench on her Daddy's Bronco a little bit.
15 months old -- 05/28/07 -- She really enjoys getting sprayed with the water hose, she was helping her Daddy change oil in his Explorer, and the sandbox was a big hit. Then, at the Sparks family reunion, she played in the creek with Grandma Roy and did a little dancing to some bluegrass music.
June 2007 -- Carlisle and Hershey Trip!
The car show wasn't as exciting as Hershey but she still had a good time riding around and eating ice cream.
Here's when we first got to Hershey... she was pretty whooped from the car show but recovered soon enough.
First trip to Hershey Park!
They set their ride height requirements by using different Hershey candies. This year Madeline was a "Hershey's Miniature" :-)
She had a good time feeding the ducks, playing in the water, riding the carousel and the antique cars.
In total, she rode the carousel, kissing tower, antique cars, monorail, dry gulch railroad, watched the sealion show, and went to the zoo.
Here's Madeline in the Hershey Museum hanging out with Milton Hershey and his wife and checking out the candy costumes that they use in the park. Then it was back to chocolate world to partake in a dark chocolate milkshake.

July 2007 -- Not quite as exciting as the Hershey/Carlisle update I did last month but here's a few recent pics anyway. She really loves it outside so we're not looking forward to winter, she was all wrapped up after getting out of her "ducky pool", bath time, her all dressed up for the baby pageant in Durbin, and finally a shot of her zonked out in her crib. I snapped this pic and then Susan rearranged her to a more comfortable position :-)
August 2007 -- 18 months old and a trip to the beach!
This year we made a trip to Myrtle Beach. We stopped in Asheboro, NC on the way for a couple reasons.. to break the ~8hr trip up so Madeline didn't have to ride in the car for so long and also so we could take her to the NC Zoo. She (as usual) had a good time.
The first pic is of all of us at the entrance sign. My stance is kinda odd because I *barely* made it there in time before the camera snapped the pic.
Here's a few pics of her and some of the animals.
Finally, here she is after we got back to the hotel. It takes about 5 hours to see the whole zoo, if you rush so she was whooped.
Myrtle Beach
She REALLY enjoyed digging in the giant sandbox and after about a day she wasn't afraid of the waves anymore. Here's a few pics of her living it up on the beach. That's Susan and Madeline in the middle of the long distance shot.

Here she is at the seafood restaurant, keeping her eye on a huge snake at Alligator Adventure, and looking at the big granite ball outside the Ripley's Believe it or Not! Museum.

September 2007 -- 19 months old. Not too many pictures for this update. She's really loving the corn on the cob now that she has all those teeth. Then a few pics of our trip to the West Virginia Wildlife Center on 09/22/07. We had a picnic and then checked out all the animals. Madeline was pretty whooped by the end of the day and almost fell asleep riding on Pappy Roy's shoulders :-)
October 2007 -- 20 months old. The first picture is of us up at Reddish Knob in VA back at the beginning of October. All of the rest are Halloween!
November 2007 -- Not much of an update this month but here's a few pics. Christmas shopping in Lowes, partaking in pumpkin pie, her and her old man sacked out after Thanksgiving dinner, and playing piano at Grandma Patty's house.
December 2007 -- There's been quite a few photo ops lately so I thought I'd do an update before the Christmas update.
These are from a snowstorm we had the week of Dec 3. I suppose this was her first time ever really playing in the snow. When the storm hit, the snow was no good for making a snowman so we could only throw together a small one. But once it started melting, PawPaw Ray made her a big snowman! Also, check out that little snow angel :-)
And, apparently, Santa is not scary this year. The first pic was taken at Meadowbrook Mall in Clarksburg. She sat there and told him she wanted a "yewwow wowwipop" for Christmas and Santa agreed, that wasn't too much to ask :-) The other pics are from the NRAO Christmas party.

January 2008 -- Playing in the snow again, a little claw machine victory at Wal Mart, playing in the box the blocks came in, passed out with her snow monster (from the Rudolph movie), and attempting to walk a mile in her Daddy's shoes.
