Ford Truck 4x4 Knob Lighting
Here's the tech article page I put up about this
This might seem like an odd thing to post up for sale but I recently had trouble with this in my 2004 F250 and came up with a solution so I thought maybe someone else could benefit from this. Anyhow, the bulb that illuminates my 4x4 knob was blown. I called Ford and they told me that this was not a "serviceable" part and that I had to buy the entire switch assembly ($45) to replace it. This encouraged me to research further and I found out a few things. First, these type of 1/4 twist bulbs are called "neo-wedge" bulbs and the company that made these particular bulbs for Ford is "JKL Components Corporation". The typical neo-wedge replacement bulbs I've found have a few problems. First, they are about 1/2 as tall as the 4x4 bulb is and second, the contacts are located in the wrong spot. The replacement bulbs have contacts located in the area shown by the blue arrow in the picture below. The Ford bulbs have contacts shown in the area by the red arrow.
A user on the internet purchased some of these bulbs and confirmed that they also work for the headlight knob illumination as well.
So, I ended up buying quite a few bulbs from ebay that are *almost* exact replacements. The only problem is the contact location problem I mentioned above. So, I simply removed the dead bulb from my original housing, inserted one of the replacement bulbs, and it works like a charm. So, if anyone happens to have this problem and feels comfortable doing what I did (remove dead bulb/install good bulb) then I can help. I'm going to try to modify these bulbs so that they are direct plug in replacements, but I don't have the time to work on it right now. The price for these replacement bulbs is $2/each + shipping.
Here's a few pics of the original bulb that was blown.
Here's a pic of the replacement bulbs that I have.
1994 Ford Explorer Factory Amplifier
This is a factory amplifier out of my 1994 Explorer. It works fine but I had to bypass it when I installed my new Sony head unit, so I just removed it all together. I don't know for sure but this amplifier will probably fit 1991-1994 Explorers with the premium sound system. Email for more pics or info. I'm asking $10 + shipping.
Early Ford Bronco USED 28-spline rear axle shaft
This axle will fit a 66-75 big bearing 9" rear end. For choosing which axle is appropriate for your Bronco, refer to Wild Horses 4x4. If you scroll down and select "Rear Ends" and on that page you'll see a diagram of the bearing retainer plate with dimensions A, B, & C. The dimensions on this axle are: A = 3 1/2", B = 2 3/8", C = 1/2". I'm not sure if it's for right or left side but if this helps any, the measurement from the tip of the axle to the top of the bearing is 23 3/4". Used axles usually go for around $95 from the Bronco houses, I'm asking $30 + shipping.
1984 Ford Ranger USED EEC IV Computers
Here are two EEC IV Electronic Control Assembly computers for a 1984 Ford Ranger with a 2.8L V6 engine. One is the original off my Ranger and the other is a spare I bought one time. The original computer box worked perfectly when I removed it from my truck and I plugged the spare in one time and it seemed to work great too. The only reason I removed it is because I converted my truck to an older style Ford ignition system (Duraspark) and installed an Offy 4V intake and Holley carb. For both units I'm asking $10 + shipping.
1984 Ford Ranger USED 2.8L V6 2V Intake Manifold
This is an aluminum two-barrel intake manifold off of a 1984 Ford Ranger with a 2.8L V6 engine. This intake is in excellent condition. There are no cracks and the gasket surfaces are in great shape. The numbers 837F-8425-CE are stamped on the top of the intake. I removed this intake from my truck because I replaced it with an Offy 4V intake and Holley carb. I'm asking $20 + shipping.
