Be Still A While

By Judy Dye

Play (.wma)

Lyrics available upon request.

Be still a while, I need to lean on you.

It won't take long, perhaps an hour or two.

You won my heart so I depend on you.

I am, you are, does it matter?

We talk of great ideas and dance to little ditties.

You bring me joy to keep; I'm glad you find me witty.

I dim the lights so darkness sets us free.

We float a while, and then,

Grab desperately the passion that boils around us.

Then feeling spent, I lean on you and you lean on me.

My dearest friend, I think you love me, too.

Close in your arms it's like brand new.

I'll be here for you.

We're still

  a while

     before we rouse,

        and you are gone.......
