Relationships

Louis Tomlinson & Eleanor Calder

Ever since One Direction's Zayn Malik got engaged to Perrie Edwards, everyone has been betting on Louis Tomlinson getting down on one knee next, especially since him and Eleanor Calder have been dating for so long! But according to the "Story of My Life" star, he's not popping the question anytime soon.

When the Metro asked Louis if he feels the pressure to get married now that his bandmate is, he said, "Zayn’s decisions are his own. We’ve all congratulated him on it, but as far as I am in my relationship, I’m cool for now. I think most people are the marrying kind, I just don’t know when yet. I still feel young."

Now that 1D is taking a break from their tour, Louis is really excited to spend some quality time with the people he loves most, including Eleanor.

"We just cherish the time we have at home and make plenty of time for family and friends," Louis said. "There’s a break coming up. We have a couple of months where we recharge. Just going to do normal things and see the family. Do very little. That all helps."

Harry Styles & Taylor Swift

More details have emerged about Taylor Swift and Harry Styles' break-up, following yesterday's reports that the pair ended their short-lived romance when Taylor left their tropical holiday in the British Virgin Islands two days early.
"Yes I can confirm they have split up," a MailOnline source said.

"They were on holiday and had an almighty row. They are two young stars at the top of their game so who knows what will happen in the future."

Another source told Life & Style magazine that the pair's work commitments got in the way of their love life.

"They are both really busy and never in one place for long," the source said.

"Harry's really upset about the split and is really sensitive about it. Loads of his friends told him to be careful and that it was never going to last, and he feels a little foolish now that it's fallen apart so quickly."

More evidence of their split has come to light, with two men spotting Taylor looking "visibly heartbroken" at the St Thomas airport in the US Virgin Islands on January 4. The men, Mike Zavagno and Jake Hurley, told the New York Post what they saw.

"She looked really sad and lonely, really down," Zavagno said.

Hurley continued: "We had heard she was down there with Harry Styles from One Direction, but the impression that I got was that they must have had a fight or something because she was just with her bodyguard and I said to Mike, 'She looks really sad'".

Taylor wasn't seen crying, but Hurley said that "you could tell that something was visibly wrong".

"She was just sitting there with her hands in her lap, no phone or anything," he said, adding that when people called her name, she waved back but "didn't really get into it".

Meanwhile, in Harry land, the 18-year-old was seen partying for two days at Richard Branson's Necker Island (see hot tub pic above).

When he flew out on Sunday, Harry was spotted "mingling with pretty female fans" over a three-and-a-half hour layover in Puerto Rico.

One witness told the New York Post that Harry seemed "really happy" with his fans, giving hugs, posing for photos, and eventually going out to lunch with them at a nearby Italian restaurant.

Harry headed straight to the recording studio upon his return to London, talking to girls in the street on his way there. Could there be a break-up song in the works?

Zayn Malik & Perrie Edwards

Zayn Malik has opened about his engagement to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards for the first time.

But fans should prepare to be slightly underwhelmed, as the One Direction star has been pretty brief about the whole thing.

When quizzed by a reporter about his current relationship status, he simply stated: "It's cool, it's really cool, we're really happy."

Edwards fuelled speculation that she was set to wed Malik when she stepped out at the world premiere of his movie, One Direction: This Is Us sporting a diamond sparkler on her ring finger.

A publicist for the couple then confirmed to GLAMOUR.com: "Zayn and Perrie are engaged, but any further detail regarding their relationship is private."

Harry Styles & Louis Tomlinson "Larry Stylinson"

Or at least half of Larry Stylinson - the fictional bromantic pair created by wildly imaginative One Direction fans who concocted a relationship between band mates Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
There's erotic fan fiction online, plus doctored photos and video evidence used to suggest Harry and Louis' looking at each other or brushing each other's leg is some kind of hidden code.
Backstage in Melbourne, Tomlinson and bandmate Zayn Malik are fresh from a quick holiday together to Hamilton Island to break up their lengthy Australian tour.
It was just the two of them - a knife in the imaginary heart of Larry Stylinson. Or perhaps the start of Layn Malikson?
They're discussing some of the wild theories created by their fans - one documentary saw fans suggesting when the band go overseas they have to do something to fill up their time. And bandwidth.
"We've all dwelt on some conspiracy theory at some point," Malik, 20, muses. "Thought something was real."
"The psychology behind the theories are very interesting," Tomlinson, 21, notes.
However mentioning the Larry Stylinson theories provokes that most rare of incidents - a boy band F Bomb.
"That's a f----ing annoyance," Tomlinson says of the false rumours linking him to Styles.
Can he not appreciate the impressive amount of work that's gone into it at least?
"I wouldn't say it was impressive," Tomlinson fumes. "I'd say it was annoying."
RIP Larry Stylinson.
Sadly for this interview Styles, 19, is under the weather, so his thoughts on the matter remain unclear, however sources suggest he finds it more amusing than his band mate clearly does.
One Direction are a fascinating test case for the accessible new world of pop.
Social media was responsible for their success stretching beyond just the UK, where they were assembled on the X Factor in 2010.
However they're now breaking ground for how Twitter can be used as a stalking tool by obsessed fans.
