Camper Cabins

Nestled in the rolling hills of western Iowa is the beautiful Crawford Creek Recreation Area. Described by some as “one of Iowa’s best kept secrets”, the park offers scenic views and a quiet atmosphere.

Our cabins are located on the shoreline of Crawford Creek Lake. The 62 acre lake offers some of the finest fishing in this region, plus trails, swimming, boating and picnicking.

“Willow” and “Lakeview” cabins each have one 14’ by 14’ room with an 8’ by 14’ porch. The wheelchair accessible “Walnut” cabin is a 16’ by 20’ cabin with one bedroom and an 8’X 20’ porch. The cabins are heated and air conditioned, and have electricity, a microwave oven, small refrigerator, table and benches. The cabins include two full-sized beds with a single bunk bed above each.

Outside you’ll find a fire ring with grill, picnic table and your own semi-private fishing dock. A shower house, modern restroom and water hydrant are located nearby (check for availability during the off season).

Firewood, ice and paddle boats are available by contacting our campground hosts.

Six people will sleep comfortably with our spacious accommodations.

Offering many of the conveniences of home, our cabins will provide a quiet and comfortable getaway for the entire family.

Cabin Rules:

· Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check out time is 2:00 p.m.

· Guests must be at least 21 years old to reserve or occupy a cabin unless accompanied by an adult.

· Maximum occupancy; 6 for Lakeview and Willow cabins or 8 for

· Walnut cabin.

· Tents and RV’s are not permitted at cabin site.

· Cooking, other than microwave, a coffee maker, or toaster is prohibited inside the cabin. A grill is provided outside

· No smoking is allowed in cabins

· Pets are not allowed in the cabin or on the cabin grounds

· No keg beer is permitted at cabin site.

· The park closes at 10:00 p.m. All unregistered guests must leave the park by this time.

· All other park rules are in effect.

What’s New ?

Our newest camper cabin at Crawford Creek Recreation Area was completed in 2005. Walnut Cabin is larger than the others and has a separate bedroom, ceramic tiled floors, and more lounging space. Call or email our office for availability.
