Mr. Wizard Activities
Mr. Wizard was famous for making science popular starting in the early 1950's. Mr. Wizard was played by Don Herbert, who still actively promotes science on his Mr. Wizard Studios website. Mr. Wizard style projects are really science demonstrations that do not normally qualify for the Science and Invention Fair. In 2006, science demonstrations will be allowed in the Science Fair, but will not be eligible to move on to the district competition. Homemade volcanoes fit in this category.
