Theresa- Clifton M. Cheeseman, 90, a lifelong Theresa resident, died Oct 31 at his home on Pool Road following a short illness.The funeral was held Tuesday at the Frederick Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven Becker officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Theresa Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Barbara) House, Watertown, and Mrs. Stuart (Rose Mary) Coolidge, Theresa; a sister, Mrs. Clifton (Lois) Gray, Watertown; a brother, Spencer, Louisville, Ky.; 10 grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
Born Sept. 13, 1903, in Theresa, son of Clinton B and Grace McCue Cheeseman, he was educated in area schools, and married Mary Bently Sept 24, 1924. She died in 1930.
He married Mina Smith of Redwood June 18, 1932. She died Nov. 30, 1985.
Mr. Cheeseman was a farmer on Red Lake Road most of his life, retiring in 1976. He moved to Pool Road in 1987.
He was a member of the Theresa Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Theresa Masonic lodge and the Odd Fellows.
