Fire Danger is now
LOW
Welcome
To Our Site...
Our
priorities for this site are:
- Letting
everybody know who to call in case of a fire
sighting. 911 is the preferred number to call
for fire and other emergencies.
- Getting
Burn Regulations posted. Every year people
wonder when they have to start obtaining burn
permits and what the regulations actually are
in terms of what can and can't be burned.
- Timely
information from Fire Chief Jon Delvalle will
be found on the "Chief's Notes" page. Jon will
let us know what's happening locally in regard
to protecting the lives and property of us
residents from fire. Jon can also provide us
with his vision of where he'd like to see our
Fire Protection District in the next few
years.
- Letting
you know who your commissioners are. These are
the folks who represent you at their monthly
meetings and you should feel free to contact
them with your concerns.
- Helping
you to prepare for the inevitable WILDFIRE!
This
area has burned and will burn again. It's just
a matter of time. The negative impacts that
spring from wildfire can be horrendous...but
they can often be mitigated. Intelligent
building site planning and follow-up
maintenance (e.g. Defensible Space) can help
reduce the potential damage and destruction to
personal property and help save lives. Check
out the web site links that we'll be posting
on this site to "learn not to burn".

Burn
Permits are Now Required
Burn
permits are required starting May 10 this year.
They are good through June 30. After that,
burning is prohibited until the Fall rains
arrive. If you have any questions about these
policies, please contact Chief Delvalle by
clicking on the "Contact Us" button at the left
side of this page. You may also view the Boise
County ordinance directly by clicking the link
below.
Thanks!
My thanks
to Evans Valley Fire
District #6 for their contribution of web
site "building blocks". Thanks also to Chief Jon
Devalle and my fellow commissioners for their
suggestions regarding this site.
