Major Bray's Company Photo Gallery

On the left is
Major Robert Rogers (portrayed by George A. Bray III), and next to him is a Lieutenant
of the First Regiment of Foot, 2nd Battalion, Light Company (portrayed by Daren Weippert).
Officers are easily identified by the Gorget they wear hanging from the neck. There were no
further insignia to designate the precedence of officers, between themselves they were
gentlemen who usually knew each other by name, and to enlisted men it was enough to know a
man was an officer and was to be obeyed without question. The lieutenant is an officer
from a European campaign, and continues to wear the regular army red coat. Major Rogers
has been on the continent for quite a while and has spent a great deal of time learning
the fighting tactics and adjustments to uniform and equipment that will be necessary in
order to win battles in the wilderness.
