I heard about this technique on the Guillemot Kayak building forum. I was worried about positioning the inner seam tape in such a confined space. 9oz seam tape is positioned for the inside seam, and held in place with dots of quick-cure epoxy. |

The deck and hull are held together with straps, rope, and tape. The kayak is suspended with one seam down, and one inner seam tape is wet out with epoxy. The other seam was done the next evening. The epoxy work was done with a chip brush attached to a 6 foot strip of wood. |
