TOWN OF WEST SPARTA PLANNING BOARD

December 21, 2011                 Minutes

Meeting called to order at 7:12 PM

Present – Chairman Sue Erdle, Board members Adrienne Keiffer, Jill Kalmar

Excused – Board members Andy Keiffer, barb Nagle

Absent – Alternate Eugene Teed

Guests – Laura Moffat (ZBA), Marge Cansdale

There is a quorum.  No alternates were present to fill in.

Approval of Minutes – The November minutes were not available for review. 

            Resolution 2011-18 to approve the December 5, 2011 Special Meeting minutes; Motion made to approve as written by Adrienne Keiffer, seconded by Jill Kalmar.  

Roll call vote; Erdle-aye, Keiffer – aye, Kalmar – aye           PASSED

Privilege of the Floor – none

Communications – The Town Board has appointed Jill Kalmar to finish Dawn Cox’s term (to December 2013) as a regular Planning Board member.

Old Business – The GFLRPC Fall Government Workshop was attended by Sue Erdle, Barb Nagle, Adrienne Keiffer, and Jill Kalmar.  ZBA members Pat Levey and Laura Moffat also attended.  All agreed it was interesting and educational.

New business – Resolution 2011-19 to recommend that Sue Erdle be Chairman of the Town Planning Board for 2012.  Motion by Adrienne Keiffer, seconded by Jill Kalmar.  Roll call vote; Erdle-aye, Keiffer –aye, Kalmar-aye                        PASSED

            Our meetings for 2012 will be scheduled the same as this year – fourth Wednesday of the month except November and December when the meetings will be the third Wednesday to avoid conflict with the Holidays.

Sue congratulated everyone for their work this year.

Handouts – Our Annual Report was handed out – a copy was provided to Town Clerk Marie for the Town Board.
